A blog for DevSource.com.

This blog was originally part of the blogs.ziffdavis.com site from May 2005 through June 2007 when the blog was moved to the Movable Type blog engine and hosted at blog.devsource.com/devlife.
The original blog was eventually shut down and I was given the posts so that I could host them on my own site.

Sirius-ly

Rich (that's my husband) is one of those Howard Stern listener guys. You know the type (and may be one yourself). When he's in my car and I am listening to NPR, he switches it to Stern. Then I point to some amazing sight out the window (a moose, a naked cycler or just a generic “oh my god, look!“) and quickly push the button for my NPR station again. Okay, he doesn't really fall for that anymore unless I'm extremely creative.

So, like many Stern fans (and much to the happiness of Sirius and those who manufacture the radios), Rich got a Sirius radio and subscription. He dun good, too, snagging their Sanyo CSR-10 system with home and car kits for only $40 after a whole bunch of rebates. Sirius is selling subscriptions, so they basically gave the equipment away. Free shipping, too.

So while he's off at his jobsite listening to Stern and classic rock all day, I will get to listen to Cuban, Jazz, blues, NPR talk radio and whatever my little heart desires on the internet.

We are slowly, ever so slowly, moving out of the dark ages in this household.

Now back to all the fun I'm having porting my client's app to VS2005!
